HYDROGYN Performs On REAL MAGIC TV; Video Available
September 3, 2008Ashland, Kentucky-based rockers HYDROGYN have issued the following update:
"The band just finished the first leg of the Deadly Passions North America tour in great fashion. HYDROGYN co-headlined a show with area mates BOBAFLEX on Sunday, August 31 for the Make a Wish Foundation in Grayson, Kentucky. That show ended a month-long campaign of a very successful run for the band. Their will be sporadic dates throughout September and October but the band will be gearing back up for another full onslaught in November with a very cool band with more details to come soon.
"In European news, the band regrets to have to tell everyone that the European tour is pushed back until spring 2009. There were some routing issues as well as time factors that played into the pushing back of the tour their. The band is very eager to get back to Europe and do a full tour for the great fans there as well.
"In other cool news, the band is announcing the plans to release a special vinyl collectors' edition LP this fall as well. Their will be more details next week on this product but it is sure to be a hot one.
"In French news, Julie [Westlake, vocals] has announced the first HYDROGYN song that will be sung in the French language called 'Un Monde Perdu'.
"As usual, HYDROGYN's new release is available through Demolition Records in France and distributed by Underclass Music.
"In June the band went to New York for promotional days for the new release, and stopped by to see Jonathan at Real Magic TV. You can see that visit and also some cool magic and acoustic tunes from the band as well by [watching the clips below]."
HYDROGYN earlier in the year inked a three-album deal with Demolition Records's UK-based label DR2. This signing came on the heels of the band's success with its Billboard-charting "Bombshell" release in 2006, "Strip'em Blind Live" CD success in 2007, coupled with the group's relentless touring in Europe over 2007.
HYDROGYN's latest album, "Deadly Passions", was recorded in Huntington, West Virginia's Smash Hits Studio and includes a cover of ALANIS MORISSETTE's mega-smash "You Oughta Know".
